Aww thanks so much guys! This one is 17. We're keeping it simple, just going to dinner, but it will be nice.

Congratulations Erin. I know with that many years behind you there is so that has occurred and washed under the bridge. Cheers to you both for your journey together and the depth you surely enjoy.

Thank you all for the wishes! We had a nice dinner out. We haven't done that without kids in soooo long. Then we went and saw my mother in law in the nursing home...I know, sounds like fun on an anniversary, but we wanted to do it. For anyone who has followed that saga, she is doing better...talking some and moving and they even have her taking steps again.

Anyhow, thanks again!

i'm glad you had fun! dinner without the kids, i.e. a genuine date, can be all too rare. even visiting the MIL without the kids had to have been nice, so it makes perfect sense that your husband would liked to have done it.

thank you for the update on her, BTW. i have been wondering. any new direction for our prayers for her now? what are her new goals?

Thanks very much for asking, Jon. She needs to continue regaining strength she lost to atrophy for standing and taking steps, and also continue to regain the ability to speak. She is saying words right now, and sometimes a phrase, but it is still a struggle to get each word out. In fact, I'll post here more about it.
