The bad news is that Buddug, my favourite ferret, died last night.
The good news, for those who've been praying for me, is that I've found out that my job is safe, as someone else has taken voluntary redundancy.
Needless to say, I have rather mixed emotions at the moment.

I'm very thankful that job your job is intact. That has to relieve some stress for you.
Sorry about Buddug, I know we can be very close to our pets and grieve when they are gone. How many other ferrets do you have?
I have five other ferrets.
There's a mood of relief at work - we all feel like the axe has been removed from above our heads.
Barry, so sorry about Buddug. Losing a pet is a special kind of grief, animals are so precious and innocent and good.
