This seems like such a flippant request in comparison to what everyone is going through. This question is for my Australian friends: I've just recently come out of country hibernation and moved to Canberra, and was wondering whether any of you were aware of any possible communities that would be worth looking into? I am strangely hanging out for some person-to-person again.

Thanks so much guys. Will keep all of you in my prayers.

Och, Fiona, I think that discriminating between "flippant" and "not flippant" is one of those "sounds good in theory" sorts of things.

Oooh, face to face contact, that's scary! :)

You've moved to Canberra? I seem to remember you were living in country Victoria. Is that right?

Anyway, I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions at all, but I really hope you find some F2F peeps.

Well seeing as how I am not in the "neighborhood" I have no suggestions, but I do hope you find what you are looking for. When we have those times of needing real life people, it's important to us.

I don't think it's flippant, either. Everything is relative, my dear.

Sorry, I don't know anybody in Canberra at all, but you could try asking people at Forge NSW - they might know of some "missional" type communities in Canberra. Peter Horsley (NSW Director) would be a good place to start.

Also, I've never been there, but I've heard Nationsheart is doing some good things. Their website is here: http://www.nationsheart.org.au/

Hope you find some people who can offer you that face to face you're after!
